My Journey

My journey of self-discovery began in 2012, during a time when I felt lost, constrained, and unsure of my direction in life. Like many people, I wanted to change the world — yet what became clear was that the only thing I could truly transform was myself, and the way I related to my inner and outer world.

As I began to listen more closely, moments of deep insight and meaningful synchronicity followed. What unfolded was not a sudden awakening, but a gradual remembering - of the body as a guide, and of awareness as something lived and embodied.

I learned that growth is rarely linear or easy. Fear, habit, and the protective patterns of the mind can keep us repeating what is familiar, even when it no longer serves us. Meeting these patterns with honesty and compassion became a turning point in my life.

Yoga Practice

Yoga entered my life not as a performance or discipline to master, but as a way of learning how to be with myself. Through movement, breath, and stillness, I began to understand how deeply the nervous system shapes our thoughts, emotions, and sense of safety.

Over time, this practice became less about doing and more about listening. I discovered that the body holds both our stories, and our capacity to heal — and that when we move with awareness and respect, profound change can take place without force, but in surrender.

This embodied approach is what continues to guide my work today.

Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing

How this became my work

My work is an extension of this lived experience. I support people who are navigating overwhelm, transition, fatigue, or a sense of disconnection from themselves.

Sessions are shaped around the nervous system and the body, using somatic yoga, breath work, and intuitive guidance to support regulation, integration, and self-trust.

I work best with people who feel ready to engage with their own process — gently, honestly, and at their own pace.

My intension is not to lead or fix, but to walk alongside you as you reconnect with yourself and illuminate your own path forward.

I am merely your assistant, guiding you back to yourself; the true Inner Guide.

If this resonates, you're very welcome to explore the work further.

This path has taught me that healing requires great courage, patience, self discipline and responsibility - that imperfection is the perfection of it all.

It asks us to stay present with discomfort, to soften our resistance, and to build trust in the unfolding of Life; trusting and surrendering into whatever outcomes may arise.

I don’t believe in quick fixes or bypassing difficulty. I do believe in steady, compassionate practice, and in the power of meeting ourselves honestly, again and again.

What has supported my own transformation is the same foundation I now offer others: embodied awareness, nervous system regulation, and a grounded relationship with our inner experience.

Love, Tistrya

How I work

My foundation is yoga, but I don’t teach from a fixed sequence or ask the body to conform to a particular shape.

I work slowly and responsively, drawing from Yin Yoga, somatic movement, breath, meditation and embodied awareness. I pay attention to what is happening in the body and nervous system in the moment, adapting the practice around the individual rather than forcing an outcome.

Sometimes the work is physical - tension, holding, breath or movement. At other times emotion, memory or patterns of protection may arise. My role is not to diagnose or treat trauma, but to offer a grounded space in which you can notice what is present, develop greater body awareness and gradually reconnect with yourself.

Further study & personal practice

My work has also been shaped by years of personal study and direct experience with emotional healing, self-inquiry and the relationship between body, mind and nervous system.

This has included long-term work with limiting beliefs and self-acceptance, personal therapy, extended inner-child work, guided hypnotic and Matrix Reimprinting-style processes, spiritual and intuitive development, and many years of integrating these approaches through my own yoga, meditation and embodied practice.

I continue to study and practise rather than seeing this work as something that is ever simply “completed.”
